A payment reminder is a sensitive touchpoint: the message needs to be clear without feeling impersonal. Allianz Direct saw an opportunity to improve the customer experience. Since transactional emails are opened by almost all customers, they provide the ideal moment to enhance the brand experience.

The creative needed to clearly and friendly communicate the outstanding amount, the products it applies to, and the new due date — with a clear call-to-action to pay immediately.

We chose a friendly, light tone of voice:
“Missing a payment happens to everyone — no problem, handle it quickly and easily.”
The design features a recognizable invoice in Allianz style with the outstanding details clearly displayed,
supported by a direct button to pay the amount.
Thanks to the animated header, the customer immediately knows what the email is about,
which amount is due, for which products,
and what action is required.
This makes the communication not only clearer and more effective,
but also a prime example of the power of transactional emails:
personal, service-oriented, and immediately relevant.
